Windham Solid Waste Management District (WSWMD) in Brattleboro, VT is seeking their next Executive Director to replace their retiring director.
The Executive Director serves as the CEO of the organization, partnering closely with the Board of Supervisors, member towns, and staff. The Director is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the WSWMD overall, including its operations, programs, finances, and employees. This includes day-to-day routine tasks and actively promoting sources of revenue, problem-solving, innovation, and imagination. A more detailed job description is available online.
WSWMD is a full-service transfer station that is part of a Vermont Municipal District, created for the purpose of providing services “managing solid waste, recyclable materials, organic material, and exempt hazardous waste generated within member municipalities.” per the Vermont Statute Title 24 Appendix Municipal Charters Chapter 417.
This is a full-time position, on-site with competitive pay and 100% benefits in 90 days.
