WELCOME PAIGE WILSON, NH RECYCLES' NEW EDUCATION COORDINATOR!
Paige will be responsible for creating educational resources, coordinating events, communicating with the public and managing grant activities for NH Recycles. She will also support NH the Beautiful’s facility signage, equipment grant, litter cleanup and recycling bin programs.
Paige received both her B.S and M.S degrees in Environmental Science and Policy from Plymouth State University. Her undergrad work focused on science, sustainability, ArcGIS mapping and anthropology, while her graduate degree was centered around policy, community planning and land use regulations.
After college, Paige started her career at the Lakes Region Planning Commission as their Solid Waste Planner and Assistant Grants Administrator. There, she leveraged state and federal funding to support local projects and develop waste infrastructure in dozens of Lakes Region communities.
In 2022, Paige joined the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) as their Waste Reduction and Diversion Planner, where she had a major role in updating, implementing, and tracking the state's 10-year Solid Waste Management Plan. During her time there, she contributed to several first-of-their-kind initiatives for NHDES and the state, including overseeing New Hampshire's 2024 Waste Characterization Study, supporting their 2025 Food Waste Generator Study and Infrastructure Analysis, and developing the state's first public-facing “Managing My Waste” webpage to help residents make informed waste management decisions. She also supported the New Hampshire Solid Waste Working Group, bringing together stakeholders to advance statewide waste reduction and diversion efforts.
Paige is a Certified Solid Waste Facility Operator in the State of New Hampshire and a graduate of the Maine Compost School. She is also a Board member for the Plymouth Area Renewable Energy Initiative and serves on the Dover Solid Waste Advisory Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, cooking, photography, spending time with her friends and going to music festivals.
We are VERY excited to have Paige join our team and know she will bring a great mix of creative skills and regulatory knowledge to our member communities!
