Municipal recycling and waste management programs play a critical role in keeping communities running safely, efficiently, and affordably. NH Recycles’ 2026 Recycling Conference & Expo will provide a regional forum focused on practical solutions, shared experience, and peer learning for the people who operate and support recycling and waste management programs every day.
The goals of the Conference are to:
- Share practical information about technical assistance, training, educational tools, and other support available to municipal recycling and waste management programs
- Highlight proven best practices and real-world lessons learned from operators and communities across the region
- Create meaningful opportunities for operators, municipal staff, vendors, and partners to connect, problem-solve, and exchange information
- Support forward-looking planning that helps facilities and communities adapt to emerging challenges, changing markets, and future waste management needs
The one-day event will feature plenary and breakout sessions and an exhibit area. Breaks throughout the event will allow ample time to connect with colleagues, ask questions, and explore tools and services available through exhibitors.
We expect approximately 300 attendees, including representatives from:
- Transfer stations and recycling facilities
- State and local governments

New: Registration Requirements for Businesses
To support a positive and fair conference experience, private, for-profit businesses must participate as sponsors or exhibitors in order to attend the NH Recycles Recycling Conference & Expo. Prospective new sponsors or exhibitors may attend one conference as attendees-only with prior approval from the Executive Director. All attendees associated with an industry-related private or for-profit business must register by the deadline; walk-ins are not permitted. Businesses that market recyclables covered by NH Recycles’ cooperative marketing programs must be approved NH Recycles vendors to sponsor or exhibit. Why a one day conference?
Over the past several years, the Recycling Conference and Expo has consistently welcomed 300+ attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers for our much-anticipated event. With tightening town and exhibitor budgets and limited staff time, we have heard across the board a request to move to a single-day conference.
Not only will this lessen the time required for transfer station staff and exhibitors to travel to the conference, it also allows NH Recycles to offer the full conference experience at a lower cost for its municipal members.
But don't worry - this doesn't mean you will have any fewer workshops to choose from! With 5 workshop rooms there is certain to be something of interest for everyone throughout the day.
