Susanne has resided in the Upper Connecticut River Valley (Lyme, NH and Thetford, VT) for the past 10 years. Her previous education was in microbiology and industrial hygiene, and career work was in laboratory research, environmental health education and assessments, and life sciences health and safety programs. Since moving to the Area, she has done outreach in the communities as history & science museum docents, COVID health screener, Lifeguard/ Recreational monitor and Solid Waste/Recycling committee member. She has worked at the transfer stations in Lyme as an Attendant/Senior principal operator for 6 years and the manager of the Thetford Transfer Station with five staff and numerous volunteers. Susanne has work to re-certify the facility in 2024, expanded the recycling program and provide more outreach activities in reducing, reuse and recycling to residents and local groups.
Susanne enjoys in her free time hiking, cross-country skiing, canoeing and kayaking the ponds, rivers of New Hampshire and Vermont!
