MAKING YOUR RECYCLING LIFE EASIER! 🙌
Today’s tip: You do NOT need to wash bottles and jars before you recycle them.
Just empty out any liquid and give them a quick rinse — or, if you’re saving water and the jar held something thicker (hello, mayonnaise 👋), a simple wipe-out works too. Then toss it in your recycling bin. That’s it!
No scrubbing.
No dishwasher.
Just dump, rinse (or wipe), toss — done. ✔️
NEXT-LEVEL QUESTION: What about the cap?
Great question! This one depends on your recycler. Check with your recycling center or transfer station, or look for signage at your drop-off location. Some vendors want caps on, some want them off (sorry — recycling really is like that sometimes!).
